Mitsubishi Motors will be launching Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X in India in 2010. This release will be made following the success enjoyed by the Mitsubishi Outlander. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X sedan will be released through joint venture between Mitsubishi and Hindustan Motors. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is fitted with 2.0 Liter, powered by inter cooled and turbo charged DOHC inline engine. The engine is equipped with 4 cylinder, twin cam and 16 valves. The engine is endowed with MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-timing Electronic Control System) along with 5 Speed Manual Transmission Gearbox. The engine produces the power of 291 hp at 6,500 rpm and 300 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 4,400 rpm. The price of the car is expected to be Rs.22,00,000 (taking Mumbai as base price location).
